PhD Positions

We are seeking PhD students with strong backgrounds in computer science, mathematics, or related fields to join our team. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on research projects in areas such as foundation models and language understanding, trustworthy and responsible AI, graph-based machine learning, AI for scientific discovery in chemistry, biology, and physics, as well as knowledge representation and reasoning. Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline. While a strong publication record is not strictly required, we value students who are self-motivated, diligent, and eager to develop as independent researchers. Strong programming skills and experience with machine learning frameworks are desirable, along with good academic performance and communication skills in English. Postdoctoral Researchers

With the support of the Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society, the Foundation Models and Applications Lab (FMAL) has been officially launched under the co-direction of Prof. Xiangliang Zhang and Prof. Meng Jiang. We are currently inviting applications for a postdoctoral researcher position. The research will focus on foundation models and their applications, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary collaborations. If you are interested, we encourage you to get in touch with us. Applicants should hold a PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. A strong publication record in top-tier conferences or journals is highly desirable, along with experience in deep learning frameworks and large-scale experiments. We are looking for candidates who possess excellent research skills, independence, and the drive to pursue impactful work.
